Now Offering Culling Services!

I am so excited to offer culling as a service to my clients! Did you know that for some photographers culling can take even longer than the editing process? You may find as a photographer that the best use of your outsourcing could be to send out your culling along with your edits. Because let's face it, if you are someone who takes a lot of pictures at once (trigger happy, been there done that 🙋🏻‍♀️) you will find that your post work as a photographer could use some help in this area too.

So how does this work exactly? Well I am glad you asked! When sending out your catalogs to your Private Photo Editor you will give them a range of images that you desire in each given catalog. For wedding photographers this could look like a wedding day, leaving with 2,000 + images and you are looking for a range from 1,000-1,200 images. Just tell your photo editor that range and let them do the culling for you. Then they have all of the images that you are desiring to be edited right in front of them!

I know that this can seem daunting to pass off, perhaps with thoughts like “how do I know that she will pick the right ones?” but the benefit of gaining back hours of your time will far outweigh that question in the end. Take time to communicate this to your photo editor though! It is so important that your editor knows your concerns so they can continue to work with you and grow with you and your company! One thing you can consider is even asking for a trial run to see if it would be a good benefit for you! Then if it is not, no harm done.

Here is something to consider though, how long is culling taking you as opposed to editing? Maybe culling is actually taking you LONGER then editing. Perhaps it would be a good option to even outsource just culling… just some food for thought!
